Got a lovely message from Jamie yesterday pretty much saying the above (although ‘young padawan’ is my addition… especially the ‘young’ bit… LOL). Sometimes you have to be patient for the results to emerge. Sometimes the epic bike ride on a Sunday doesn’t bear fruit for a couple of days. And I do know that post exercise inflammation is a thing…. so today! ….16 stone 9.2 lbs! I think that’s the lowest I’ve been since I started this journey!
I was podcasting live this morning (see below) and I was saying all the things that help on such a weight loss mission. Be guided by your North Star. What are your values in terms of your goal - for me to be fit and healthy - and to lose weight - as that will help with my North Star. Small steps take time to compound. This is a marathon not a sprint. I was thinking about the Eisenhower Matrix as well and how it’s best when things are important but not urgent. And for me that’s this weight loss. It’s important to me - very important in fact. But it’s not urgent. - not really. I have the time to let those 1% wins compound into a massive gain (or loss - if you see what I mean!)
