So it’s been 4 days since I checked in but don’t worry all is well! As the pounds crept up I was feeling a bit sorry for myself as you can imagine and then when I tipped over 17 stone something needed to be done. But it’s so hard - I thought.
So the next day I stuck to the basics! I ate right, took some exercise and didn’t have any alcohol. 3 pounds off! Now I’m not saying that makes it easy as the last two days have seen my weight stay the same but equally it is easy.
All I have to do is keep doing the right stuff and getting fit and losing weight will actually take care of itself. So eat right - don’t over eat. Have the occasional alcoholic tipple - but don’t overdo it and keep some nights in a row alcohol free. Get exercising.
Now that final thing - get exercising comes at a good time. The new Pure Gym at the Arnison Centre at Durham has just opened and it’s fabulous. Have been over and done some weights (arms and shoulders) and been to a Cycle class. Booked in for Circuits in the morning. So it is not easy, and easy, in equal measure. The solution is easy. Move more - eat less. The discipline is hard…. but…. I’ve got this! Application to the task over a long period of time = results!
