Like a general having to report in from the front after a defeat I stand (or sit) before you a deflated man. But you know what I'm not going to dwell. You see, what’s happened here is exactly what happens - every time! I weaken. I make good progress then it gets hard and then I weaken. So here I am a man who had got down to 16 9 now at 16 12. Now I know it’s the weekend and I’m having a little kick back and maybe that’s good for me but that weight has crept on over the week - it’s not just been the weekend.
I’ve not done anything that has been a complete disaster - just those little things have continued to creep in.
I’m looking forward to this week though. The Pure Gym that’s literally a 2 minute walk from my front door opens on Monday so I am booked in for a class Wednesday and Friday morning.
This week in the year is also one of my ‘harbours’ - a week I set aside to catch up and take stock, relax and plan. Now, usually I take annual leave but I haven’t this year but it still looks like a good week. I have a lieu day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday working from home catching up (so that will feel good - get a few things out of the way) and then Thursday and Friday plotting and planning!
Also, this weekend I am attending the first face to face teaching day for the Counselling qualification I am starting. That’s exciting. So this week is to take stock, reinvigorate, and start some new things. Now that’s exciting. Certainly worth putting lots of focus into… and that needs to include my waist land!
